Resources for Lent

The season of Lent is a special time in the life of the Church and in our own lives. It's an invitation to reflect more deeply and closely on the life and sacrifice of Christ, and on what we ourselves can do to be more like Christ in our day to day living.

The following represents a few resources you may find helpful during Lent, to grow in prayer and in loving service.

Pray As You Go Lent Retreat 2023

For Lent 2023, we're inviting you to slow down, use your imagination, and zoom in on Jesus' final journey to the cross and resurrection split over seven weeks towards Easter Sunday.

Led by Fr Philip Harrison SJ, each week you will be guided into an imaginative encounter with Jesus. After a short introduction on Ash Wednesday (22nd February), we will begin with Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Monday 27th February.

The idea is to get as close to Jesus during this time as possible.

The Stations of the Cross

A centuries-old Lenten tradition is the prayer practice known as the Stations of the Cross, or the Way of the Cross. It follows the last hours of Jesus through to his death on the cross and burial.

The resources below are various ways you can  take part in this way of prayer.
